4 children killed in mobile home: Blaze takes lives of young siblings, fire Wednesday, according to the Associated Press via ABC News on April 24. The incident happened in Hartsville, S.C. and investigators are still piecing together what transpired.

The four children, including a set of twin girls, perished in the blaze on Wednesday. The twins were 1-year-old while their brothers were 3 and 4. Their mother was said to be so distraught it took hours to calm her down. According to WBIR the sheriff, Wayne Byrd, said that the mother was in the yard of the mobile home when the fire started, but he did not provide additional details. The mayor says they did everything they could to save the four children killed in the mobile home.

MSN shares that the blaze took about 10 minutes to extinguish. The exterior of the home seems relatively undamaged, but the inside is said to be charred. Autopsies will be performed on the children on Thursday. At this time, the identities of the victims have not yet been released. So far no charges have been filed, and authorities are working on talking with the mother in detail. No cause for the blaze that led to four children being killed in the mobile home has been determined as of yet.
