FHP looking for witnesses of fatal Seminole crash Sunday, An Edgewater man died in a Seminole County accident Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. FHP spokesperson Sgt. Kim Montes says 53-year old Gary Glen Thompson was transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford following the crash, but died later at the hospital. A 16-year old male passenger from Edgewater was treated for minor injuries in the accident at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Troopers say Thompson was westbound on I-4 at the 103 mile marker during a heavy rain Sunday around 2:45, when he lost control of the car he was driving. It is not known why the car left the interstate and ran into a sign. Troopers report that no witnesses stopped at the crash, and they are asking anyone who saw the accident to call the FHP at 407-737-2213.
