Playground Dedicated to Remember FDNY Fire Marshal
FDNY fire marshals and Fire Marshal Martin "Woody" McHale's family at the playground dedication.
The FDNY honored the memory of Fire Marshal Martin "Woody" McHale on Oct. 12, dedicating a playground in his name at Fort Totten in Queens. The dedication was followed by "It's Your Park Day," a day devoted to beautifying the playground. Fire Marshal McHale, who worked at BFI Citywide North Command, died on Dec. 24, 2014.
