Burger King delivery program expands to new markets

Burger King delivery program expands to new markets, A Burger King delivery program is being tested and expanded to several new markets. The chain has long held the No. 2 spot in terms of fast food, but could this propel them into an entirely new market? The Chicago Tribune shared the details on April 23.

Fans in New York, Miami, Houston and Washington D.C. have access to Burger King delivery, and the chain just announced it will expand to Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco as well. The orders can be placed online or via phone, and there is a minimum $10 order. Each location has its own prices and times, and not every BK location in the available cities are testing out the delivery program.

For those wondering just how well the burgers and fries will travel, USA Today shared that the chain developed “proprietary thermal packaging technology” that it believes will be a game-changer. There is a delivery fee, of course, and customers must live relatively close to the restaurant. Delivery times typically are between 11 a.m. And 10 p.m.

Given the announcement that the Burger King delivery program is expanding, after being in place for about a year in other markets, it must be working for the monster fast food chain. Whether or not the concept takes off nationwide and will be embraced in full by hungry customers remains to be seen.
