Hezbollah threatens Syrian rebels with full-blown war

Hezbollah threatens Syrian rebels with full-blown war, The president of the rebel's alternative government -- the Syrian National Coalition (SNC) -- said on Monday that the Lebanon-based terrorist network, Hezbollah, declared war on the Syrian rebels, according to a counterterrorism source in Israel.

According to Ben Ashur, who analyzes the activities of Islamic terrorist organizations, Hezbollah is already leading the fight against rebels in the central province of Homs.

“What is happening in Qusayr in Homs is Hezbollah declaring a war on the people of Syria,” President George Sabra said in a press conference in Istanbul, Turkey. “Hezbollah fighters have crossed the border into Syrian towns and cities.”

Sabra also claimed there have been several massacres in Syria, citing recent reports that at least 500 people were killed by government troops who remain loyal to Syria's Ba'ath Party President Bashar al-Assad.

The Syrian National Coalition named top rebellion supporter George Sabra as the supreme leader of the main opposition on Monday, following the abrupt resignation of Ahmed Moaz al-Khatib. Khatib submitted his resignation in protest over the failure of the U.S. E.U. and U.N. to stop the conflict in Syria, which has killed at more than 70,000 people and wounded hundreds of thousands of Syrians, most of them civilians.

While the United States is supporting Sabra and his group, the Obama government is ignoring the fact that Sabra is a veteran communist opponent of the Damascus regime but he is also one of the most prominent Christian members of the opposition. The U.S. news media have also ignored Sabra's neo-Marxist political philosophy.

He was immediately detained after the uprising against Assad began in March 2011, and he secretly escaped from Syria in early 2012 and began to organize an alternative to the Islamist rebel groups who entered the civil war from Iraq, Libya and other Muslim nations.

In reply to Sabra's accusations, the leader of the Lebanese-based terrorists accused the rebels' supporters of ulterior motives.

“Those standing behind the project of destroying Syria are the U.S. and Israel. The ongoing bloodshed in Syria serves this project,” said Sayyed Ibrahim Amin Sayyed, the head of Hezbollah’s political council, during a memorial in the Bekas Village of al-Ain.

The state of the Syrian rebellion today is a paradox: In Syria, you now have Sunni terrorists such as al-Qaeda, Nusra Front and other affiliates pitted against the Shi'ite Hezbollah, which is more of a paramilitary organization with modern weapons and equipment.
