Reese Witherspoon arrested in Atlanta for disorderly conduct, Reese Witherspoon arrested? This news may be hard to believe for some fans, but it is true according to an April 21 report by The Daily Caller via Yahoo! News.
Variety broke the story in an exclusive that explained the unsavory situation. Apparently, the actress and her husband, CAA agent Jim Toth, were driving in Atlanta very early Friday morning when Toth was suspected of a DUI suspicion.
This suspicion was aroused when law enforcement caught Reese's husband driving in the wrong lane on Peachtree St. Then, when he was being investigated by the police officer who caught up with him as Toth was going into a Walgreens, he was given a sobriety test.
At that point, Witherspoon apparently shouted to the officer from the parked car that Toth had been driving which was said to be a 2013 Ford Focus. Apparently, the thespian and her husband, who is also her agent, were in town because she was shooting her most recent film, called "The Good Lie."
In any case, during this particular situation during off-hours, Witherspoon was told to stay put in the car Toth had been navigating. Apparently, Reese hung out of the vehicle window when she was told to "sit on her butt and be quiet."
That didn't happen and as a result, Witherspoon was cuffed and then taken into legal custody and booked. In her booking photo, she is hardly recognizable as she her hair is brown instead of blonde. She is looking down, making her blue eyes appear to be shut.
And so, Reese Witherspoon was arrested which might not have happened if she had kept her mouth shut and listened to the member of the Georgia police with whom she and Toth came in contact. However, now both Reese and Jim are set to appear in court in Atlanta on Monday.
And so, Reese Witherspoon was arrested in Atlanta for disorderly conduct while husband Jim Toth was arrested at the same time for failing a Breathalyzer test after being pulled over. Time will tell what will happen next to this Hollywood couple who now find themselves in trouble with the law in Georgia.
