Fired anchor Letterman: Letterman to host TV anchor fired for dropping 'F-bomb', Fired television anchor A.J. Clemente, who made news earlier this week for dropping two curse words in his first 15 seconds ever on live air, is set to visit with quirky late-night host David Letterman Wednesday night.
CBS Los Angeles reported April 24 that North Dakota anchor A.J. Clemente, who was first suspended and then fired from KFYR news in Bismarck, N.D., will chat with Letterman tonight.
Let’s hope he keeps it clean.
KFYR initially suspended the anchor after receiving a flood of viewer complaints. The footage of Clemente swearing on live TV has gone viral.
News director Monica Hannan replied April 23 to the barrage of criticism on the TV station’s Facebook page.
Hannan wrote: "To all of you who are writing in, I want to apologize for an incident that occurred prior to our early newscast this evening, when one of our employees used profanity on the air. He did not realize his microphone was on, but still, that’s no excuse.”
