Mexican cartel queen pleads guilty in US case, Getting named a czar in the drug cartel game can be considered a huge deal to some people around the world. Well, Sandra Avila Beltran was known as the Mexican cartel queen and an Associated Press report on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, states that she has pleaded guilty to charges in a US case.

The Mexican cartel queen was in Miami when she pleaded guilty to charges from a huge cocaine trafficking case. Beltran has been given the titled as "Queen of the Pacific..reported.reported

She currently faces a maximum of 15 years in prison for the drug trafficking case, and is scheduled to to be sentenced at a hearing on July 25, 2013.

The court records show that she pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact in an organization of huge drug traffickers. That group included her former boyfriend, Juan Diego Espinosa Ramirez.

A statement was signed by Avila that says she provided money to Espinosa for his travel and lodging expenses between 2002 and 2004. That money was needed so that he could avoid the authorities and not get arrested.

Espinosa pleaded guilty in 2009 to cocaine trafficking charges after being captured. He was a former liaison between Colombia's Norte Valle cartel and Mexico's Sinaloa cartel.
