Bonds plaque missing: Home run honor hangs no longer in AT&T Park, The Associated Press reported on April 23, 2013, former San Francisco Giant baseball player Barry Bonds plaque missing from the right-center field wall at AT&T Park in San Francisco, CA.

Staci Slaughter, the Giants spokesperson said, "'We're not sure what happened. We're reviewing video, but haven't found anything yet.'" The Giants will be replacing the plaque while they continue to investigate its disappearance.

The plaque commemorated Bonds 756th home run which was achieved on April 7, 2007 at a home game in San Francisco. Bonds ended his career with a total or 762 home runs over 22 years.

Fan comments and rumors abound in the world of social media. County Fastball posted this rumor on Facebook, "Anonymous source believes he saw the missing Barry Bonds plaque, scrapped to several pieces inside a lower level bleacher dumpster." And Jim DeFine tweeted, "'Plaque of Shadows' - The investigation behind AT&T's missing 756 Barry Bonds plaque."

The slugger has been dogged by allegations in recent years of using performance-enhancing drugs, which he denies. The search for the missing plaque continues.
