Cops take 2-pound joint from students at UCSC, There is a lot of marijuana and then there is a lot of marijuana. The Epoch Times reported on Monday, April 22, 2013, that cops confiscated a 2-pound joint from students at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and they weren't happy about it. The kids, that is, not the cops.
The police were accused of "harassment" for taking the 2-pound joint away from the California students, and others were scared. Not scared of going to jail so much, but scared of going to court.
“Oh dude, we’re going to court, man; we’re totally going to court,” one of the students said.
Apparently, more than 1,000 people showed up for a 4/20 festival on campus at UCSC, and one student obviously just wanted to be prepared for everyone.
The festival was allowed to continue because cops said it would cost more money to shut it down than let it keep going.
