Madonna's homeless brother arrested in Mich. after scuffle with cop, Anthony Ciccone, 56, brother of pop star singer Madonna, would not vacate the public restroom at the Grand Traverse County Civic Center in Mich. on the evening of April 21, and ended up needing nine stiches in his forehead after scuffling with a cop and resisting arrest.
According to WLS-TV in Chicago, the authorities were called to the Civic Center because Ciccone refused to leave the bathroom.
A spokesperson for the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Department said that a deputy attempted to take Anthony Ciccone into custody “on an outstanding warrant for trespass.”
After Ciccone refused to cooperate and confronted the cop, the officer brought him to the ground.
Ciccone's face hit the floor and he required stitches.
Police say Ciccone's blood-alcohol level was 0.40. The legal limit for driving is 0.08.
Ciccone was arrested Monday and is currently jailed in Mich. without bond.
Anthony, who lives on the streets in Traverse City, Mich., has been estranged from his pop star sister “since he lost his job at the family owned winery two years ago,” according to zap2it.
