Cop photo goes viral: Cop delivers milk to a Boston family in lockdown, Sometimes, the littlest things mean the most to those in need. In an outstanding act of kindness, a photo caught a Brookline police officer delivering two gallons of milk to a family during last Friday’s intense manhunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Yahoo! News reported April 23 that the photo, posted to Facebook by the family of the officer, has gone viral. A tweet from the Boston Police Department, along with the photo, called attention to the act of compassion of one of their own..reported....examiner.

"BPD Officer delivers milk to a family with young children in Watertown during the lockdown."

The thoughtful officer was identified as veteran policeman John Bradley. Kevin Wells, the father of the family, took the photo as the Bradely arrived carrying two gallons of milk for Holden, Wells' 17-month-old son.

The boy's grandmother, visiting from Colorado, needed permission from Bradley, who was on patrol nearby, in order to leave the house to get milk for the young couple. The city of Boston was on lockdown Friday with all travel restricted.

“It just meant the world that he literally went out and got two gallons of milk," McKenzie Wells, the boy's mother, told Today.com. “We wanted to pay him, but he wouldn’t take money from us. He was just so generous."

The photo has been shared more than 100,000 times.
