Boston bombing funeral: Human shield of 1,500 vs. Westboro Baptist Church, Krystle Campbell, one of the victims of the Boston bombing had her funeral today with over 1,500 people in attendance according to an email by Nadina Talukdar on April 22.
Westboro Baptist Church had threatened to picket, but they did not show up. Even if they had, they would not be able to disrupt the services due to it being heavily guarded. Nadina asked for help from everyone she knew and also used social networks to spread the word. Her friends from Teamsters Local 25 also showed up to the funeral to prevent the hate group from getting close to those who were mourning the loss of the 29-year-old.

There were so many people at Krystle Campbell's funeral, that many of them were denied entrance. There simply was not enough room for everyone who came to pay their respects and to support her family and friends.
The Boston bombing victim was a restaurant manager who went to the Boston marathon to watch a friend finish the race. Tragically, she was one of three people that were killed by the bombers.
People had nothing but good things to say about Krystle Campbell. One commented that she was always there for people and another said that she was "beautiful, fun and lovely."
It is a relief that Westboro Baptist Church skipped protesting her funeral. It is a shame that anyone would show such disrespect and coldness to the family and friends of the Boston bombing victims or any funeral. Condolences go out to her family and friends.
